What we collect
We store your personal Google account email, first name, avatar, notification preferences and saved task information. We store your school email and verification dates only to confirm you are a UM student. Task U is an independent student marketplace. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the University of Miami. No card is charged.
How we use it
We use account and task information to connect verified UM students and coordinate bookings. Receipts and notifications go only to your personal email, never your miami.edu address. School verification expires each semester.
What other students see
Your building may be visible with your task. Your room number is shown only to the confirmed tasker during an active task, then hidden again. You do not need to share your phone number or socials.
Sharing
Information needed to complete a task is shared with the students involved. Payment providers will handle payout processing. Final provider details and disclosure rules will be documented before launch.
Data retention
Final retention periods and deletion procedures have not been set out in this placeholder. They will be published in the final privacy policy.
